Lists Can Empower YouGetting in the habit of making lists will empower your life in a way that you have to see to believe. I have a notebook where I am constantly making lists of every imaginable kind, from things I need at the grocery store to ideas for gifts, to ideas for stories I’d like to write to what I need to get done the next morning. You will find that writing down what you want and need to accomplish puts things in perspective like nothing else. If you can look at what needs to be done you feel more in control of it, instantly! Lists Can Keep You Organized
Lists Save Time and EnergyIf you have a list of things you want to do or pressing things that have to get done by a certain time that day, you are way ahead of the game; this way you can use your free time wisely and know exactly what you have to get done and how long you have to do it. A master list for cleaning each week, each month or each season will take away stress and strain over what to do when, what tools you will need, etc, and it will take the guess work out of who does what chore. Hey, if the list says it’s your turn to clean the bathroom, buck up and do it!!
I feel very fortunate to have learned the art of lists from my Mum, a highly organized and efficient lady. I find that lists make me feel in control of many aspects of my life in a way that is easy to master and perpetuate on a daily basis. Try lists for a week or so and see if they don’t make your life easier. I’ll bet you find that you don’t know how you got along before you became a ‘lister,’ as I affectionately call it. You can make lists about anything, including what you love about yourself and your life. Lists are easy and a trick you can pass on to friends and family. They will certainly thank you for the tip!
