 Aishwarya Rai Is Starring In "Guru"
This Bollywood Star Is Making Her Way To Hollywood! Bollywood (India’s very own Hollywood) star Aishwarya Rai continues to make her way toward conquering American films as well. Her latest film “Guru” will be released not only in India, but also in America. “Guru” will have a limited release on December 22, 2006 in the United States, will a full release following on January 12, 2007. In Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming Bollywood musical “Guru,” Aishwarya Rai plays Sujatha, a small-town girl who is forced by her father to marry a man (Abhishek) she does not love. Against her will, she goes to live with her husband in Mumbai as he attempts to build a successful business in Bomb ay. His troubled private life includes his frustrated wife, Sujatha, who is trying to adjust to being in a marriage she never really wanted. He must overcome a number of personal and professional problems in order to fulfill his ambitious dreams of success. Slowly, Sujatha’s animosity is replaced by love and she starts calling him “Guru.” Will we be seeing more Bollywood films here in America?
